Meet the Expert: Pedro Costa


  • A native of Portugal, Pedro began riding horses at an early age in a culture devoted to horses and their history.
    He is a renowned Portuguese rider and teacher with extensive experience in Classical Dressage and Working Equitation.

    He travels all over the world to present clinics in both specialty areas. Recent clinics have been hosted in Italy, Spain, France, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, The Netherlands, the UK, South Africa and both coasts of the United States.

  • Situated 45 minutes away from Lisbon, we offer unique and personalized equestrian stays. Our purpose is for our guests to experience and connect with our beautiful Lusitano horses. Activities include training sessions on our excellent school masters, trail rides through eucalyptus forests, and other adventures showcasing the best of what Portugal has to offer. Enterprise Farm is just a few minutes drive south from Raleigh, NC.

Farm Amenities:

  • 2 arenas with high quality safe footing
    20x60 meter sand arena
    20x40 meter turf arena

  • Warm-up area near arenas

  • Paddock for guest use near arenas

  • Washrack with hot and cold water in main barn

  • Grass area for cold water hosing near arenas

  • Ample trailer parking and easy access for small and large rigs

  • Comfortable seating and viewing area, including screened in gazebo

  • Temperature controlled and pest free areas for dining

  • Clean and comfortable restroom near arena

  • Yes. An ASTM/SEI certified helmet will be required by all persons while mounted on a horse.

  • Yes, you need to show proof of your horse’s negative Coggins Test within the past 12 months to participate in this clinic.

  • The haul in fee is per trailer.

  • Special Instructions for Trailers traveling east on NC 210 heading to Enterprise Farm:  Continue 0.3 miles past Sweetbriar Road and turn left on White Memorial Church Road.  Take the first left onto Landmark Road and immediately left again onto Sweetbriar Road.  The main farm entrance is past the barn at the double gate near the shop building.  

  • Water will be available but please feel free to bring your own. You will need to bring any hay, feed, or any supplements your horse might need while on site.

  • There will be no overnight accommodations. Horses will need to trailer in each day of the clinic.

  • The event will be held rain or shine. There is no cancellation or refund for inclement weather. Times maybe adjusted for dangerous weather (lightning, hurricanes, ice). Please dress accordingly.

  • Hold Harmless Agreement

    Guests and guest horses are welcome at Enterprise Farm.  We only ask that all mounted on the property have a "Hold Harmless" agreement on file in our office.

  • Please email an electronic copy of your current Coggins Test for your horse to sbennettdvm@gmail.com or bring a paper or electronic copy with you the day you plan to ride.
